(Full Time Employees Only)

INSURANCE

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance
    NOTE: 90% paid by employer, 10% paid by employee (both family and single coverage)
  • Employee premium paid partially by the District
  • Dependent premium paid partially by the District
  • Medicare – employee and District paid

RETIREMENT

  • State of Nevada Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)
  • Employer paid; the District currently pays 20.5% employee’s gross wages into PERS
  • No social security tax on employee’s wages
  • Five-year vesting

VACATION

  • Accrued at 5.54 hrs. per pay period
  • Two (2) additional floating holidays annually
  • 24 bonus hours awarded annually for minimal sick leave usage

SICK LEAVE

  • Accrued at 3.70 hrs. per pay period from the date of hire

BEREAVEMENT LEAVE

  • Three (3) consecutive days of leave, with pay, per occurrence, to attend funeral for immediate family member or spouse’s immediate family; one additional day granted if funeral is held 400  miles from Clark County

EDUCATION LEAVE

  • An employee may request, from the Executive Director, one full year of leave without pay for the purpose of attending a library school accredited by the American Library Association

COURT LEAVE

  • An employee who is called for jury duty or must appear in court as a witness for the purpose of giving testimony, in conjunction with his or her duties, will continue to receive full salary compensation

WORK WEEK

  • Five days, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
  • 11 paid holidays per year
