An exhibition featuring the recent saggar fired ceramic works of Shari Bray. A saggar is a lidded pot into which the pot to be decorated is placed, surrounded by organic materials and metals. The next step, is the saggar pot is placed in the kiln and fired. All the materials in the saggar pot burns creating colors and flame shadows on the "decorated" pot in the saggar. Shari is known for her raku work that incorporates a reference to Japanese wood block images, with figurative forms and lines drawn into the clay and then raku fired. Tour.
