Mindfulness & Insight Meditation
With the many stresses life brings, everyone needs a time out at one point or another, but rarely take the time to truly give themselves the time out they need. The Sahara West Library welcomes you to a weekly escape where you will be enlightened by the study of mindfulness and insight meditation.
Each Sunday, you will have the chance to participate in walking meditation and traditional insight sitting meditation, followed by a teaching and discussion section on meditation.
Mindfulness meditation has been linked to stress reduction, positive effects on immune function, addiction recovery, as well as positive effects on the neurochemistry of the brain.
The 4th Sunday of the month, mindfulness and insight meditation will be held in the Conference Room C; all other Sundays will be in the Board Room.
