Join us at West Charleston library to watch the acclaimed documentary about this beloved poet whose mystical poetry has inspired whirling dervishes for centuries, and who is now a best-selling poet in the US. “Rumi Returning” tells the life story of the great 13th-century Persian poet and Sufi sage. Since its broadcast release in September 2008, the film has been shown on more than 330 PBS stations around the country.
Following the film, there will be an opportunity to meet the filmmakers. Producer-Director Kell Kearns and Producer-Writer Cynthia Lukas will be present to introduce their acclaimed biopic, then answer questions about making the documentary and lead a discussion afterwards.
