When the Mob Ran Vegas

Author: January is Mob Month

Every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the month of January, Clark County Library examines the popular culture & history of organized crime with a series of programs featuring former mobsters, law enforcement officials, educators, authors, journalists and eye witnesses-- those who've survived, remembered, were investigated or conducted investigations during the height of Mob influence in Las Vegas & throughout America.

On January 8, join our panel of guest speakers as they travel down memory lane. Scheduled to appear are former model-for-mob-casinos and author Elaine McNamara (In the Midst of Cowboys, Crooners and Gangsters), married-to-the-Mob author Wendy Mazaros (Vegas Rag Doll), journalist and mob author Cathy Scott (Murder of a Mafia Daughter: The Life and Tragic Death of Susan Berman), and AmericanMafia.com columnist and former Las Vegas city councilman Steve Miller.

All Mob Month events are intended for mature audiences.  Book sales/signings will be available at the events with authors.  Free and open to the public.  Seating is first-come, first-served. Entry wristbands will be issued at 6 p.m. from the theater box office on the night of the program only.  For more information, please call 507-3458.
