Artist Orlando Javier Montenegro-Cruz received an Artist Fellowship Grant from the Nevada Arts Council. The artist describes his work as compositions analogous to networks and systems through the incorporation of shapes and line relating to the human body. The flow of blood within the body and the movement of water throughout the land give a sense of being separate but are linked by shared physical effects. His work merges the figure and landscape through a combination of painting and drawing which results in abstract representations that distort the line separating the body and its environment. This exhibition is partially funded from a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
