Exploring Your Family's History: Genealogy Series

Come join the Sahara West Library for these FREE genealogy workshops. Every third Sunday of the month, trace back your family’s origins with assistance on various techniques, search engines, preserving family photos and heirlooms, etc.

February’s workshop discusses the records created by Landsmanshaftn. These records were created in the waning years of the 19th Century. The societies of immigrants from the same city or area in Europe (Landsman) were formed to be self-help organizations. Through the years they grew into much more. Speaker Carole Montello will explore the range of activities and the materials that they created.

Co-sponsored by Jewish Genealogy Society of Southern Nevada.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please call 507-3631.
