Vanguard University Guitar Ensemble in Concert
From Orange County, California, the Vanguard University Guitar Ensemble is a small, specialized ensemble, studying and performing music of various styles and periods. Their sound can best be described as an orchestra of guitars -- unamplified and expressing every possible tone, timbre and nuance from the instrument. They will be performing a varied program of duo, quartet, and full ensemble compositions by Annette Kruisbrink (Netherlands), Andrew York (USA), Jurg Kindle (Switzerland), and Celso Machado (Brazil).
