“Diversity Day” is a one-hour staged reenactment of combative public testimony adapted from Missoula City Council Minutes to add anti-discrimination protection for the LGBTQ community, a first in Montana history. Footage of the original April 12, 2010 hearing will screen silently as testimony is read. Author/playwright Gregory Hinton adapted the script from actual Missoula City Council Journal of Proceedings. A discussion will follow the reading.

First presented at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival – Region 7, “Diversity Day” has also been presented as part of West Hollywood’s One City/One Pride Culture Series and at Laramie’s Shepard Symposium for Social Justice.

Co-sponsored by OutWest and the ACLU of Nevada.

Free and open to the public. For more information on this performance, call 702.507.3459.
