On May 20, 1964 the quintessential Elvis Presley film, “Viva Las Vegas,” premiered. Hollywood directing legend George Sidney’s motion picture had it all -- it was colorful, splashy, filled with pretty girls, fast cars, and Elvis getting into a fistfight as he courts the lovely Ann-Margret. Join us as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of this iconic film with a talk by Sean Clark, screenwriter, producer and UNLV film professor, followed by a screening of “Viva Las Vegas.”

Co-sponsored by UNLV’s Department of Film.

Free and open to the public. For more information on this event, call 702.507.3459.
