Photographer Armand Thomas is an Egyptian-Canadian living in Las Vegas.The Arab Spring of 2011 tilted the world's dynamic, in particular in Egypt. The Egyptian revolution captivated audiences with images of courage, violence and sheer adrenaline. But what is behind the headlines, Armand asks? His series of photographs gives an intimate view into everyday life of the people, as Egypt seeks to balance tradition and modernism, ancient legacy and renewed dignity.
