In July, author David G. Schwartz spoke about gaming development on the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown.  In Part 2, Schwartz will talk about how gaming came about in metropolitan properties and unconventional establishments such as supermarkets, convenience stores, bars, restaurants and other neighborhood locations, and the challenges for those businesses to survive and thrive in the gaming industry in an uncertain economy.  Schwartz is currently the director of the Center For Gaming Research at UNLV and author of the Roll The Bones series, Grandissimo and many other books about gaming history.
