Celebrate Nevada’s 150th birthday with a cavalcade of local writers who contributed to the official book of the sesquicentennial.

Nevada: 150 Years in the Silver State, edited by Geoff Schumacher, delves into the state’s 19th century origins and its 20th century triumphs. More than 70 Nevada writers capture the state’s rich history, diverse culture and amazing places. Their words are complemented by hundreds of photographs depicting Nevada’s gritty past, desert vistas and urban splendor.

Schumacher and other participants in this ambitious project, including Patty Cafferata, Scott Dickensheets, Dayvid Figler, and Michael Green, will provide a range of perspectives on the Silver State’s past, present and future.

A book signing and reception will follow the talk.  For more information on this event, call 702.507.3459. Free and open to the public.
