Jazz pianist Woody Woods, along with his trio and a vocalist, will be performing jazz standards and original compositions that reflect rich afro-centric music. Short stories will be shared about the composers and artists that made the music famous. Traditional attire of the great jazz era will be worn by artists, evoking a time when uptown Harlem was the home of bebop and swing and the Cotton Club was the place to be.
