Fight censorship and celebrate your freedom to read during Banned Books Week on September 22 through 28! Every year, there are hundreds of attempts to remove books like Harry Potter, Captain Underpants and Catcher in the Rye from the shelves of bookstores, libraries and schools. This year’s event shines a light on graphic novels, which are often subject to censorship, despite serious literary merit and popularity. Don’t close the book on your freedom to read by attending this enlightening program and reading your favorite banned book or graphic novel during Banned Books Week.

Co-sponsored by the ACLU of Nevada.
