Tutoring is provided by current or retired school teachers and is available for all subjects including Math and all grade levels including college. Here you will also find skills building resources, a writing lab, practice tests, make flash cards or games to help with learning, or get help with foreign language assignments.

Find Information

  Search By Topic  This page contains our databases by subject area your kids will need to help them with their homework. It also includes "Also See" box which contains "Hot Topics" related to the subject. Hot Topic pages bring together the library databases, eBooks, books and Always Available eBooks (online reference books) into one location to make it easier to find information. It's better than Google!

  Need a Library Card?  To use many of the library's resources from home or work you will need a library card. You can sign up for a library card online then visit your local library to have the card activated.
  What databases can my student use?  Do you live in Henderson, North Las Vegas or Boulder City? You student can use the statewide databases on the Search by Topic page with his/her library card. Contact Ask a Librarian - ask@lvccld.org to learn how they can access the other databases.

  eMedia Catalog  Use to check out and download eBooks and eAudio Books from the library to your ereader, iPod, computer, or other mobile device.
  Gale Virtual Reference Library  These reference books are online and always available. Our reference eBooks include encyclopedias, almanacs and specialized sources in all subject areas. Students can download sections of the eBooks and use them on their computer or eReader.
