Words on Wheels (WOW2) is a free visiting outreach service designed to bring the services and materials of the
library to people who may not be able to visit the library easily.
Library staff is available to visit your facility (community center, adult day care, senior apartment facility, assisted living home) and provide the following:
- Register for a free library card to check out materials.
- Popular books, large print books and books on tape or CD.
- “Memory kits” that stimulate sight, sound, smell and touch on a variety of subjects designed to trigger remembrance and encourage conversation. Topics include School Days, Life on the Farm, County Fair, the Depression, Pets, the Seasons, etc.
Library staff will take requests for specificlibrary materials and deliver them on a subsequent visit.
