9th Annual Visual Poetry Contest.
The Visual Poetry Contest is a juried photographic competition created to encourage local middle and high school students to showcase their creativity in the visual arts.
The winner, along with those who receive honorable mentions, will have their photographs exhibited in the formal art gallery at the Sahara West Library, and may also be chosen to be featured in our virtual gallery on the Teen web page.
Students are limited to three entries and will need to fill out an Entry Form (PDF format) .
Contest dates: October 19-November 30, 2009
Art work can be dropped off at the Youth Services Department in any library branch in the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District.
Gallery exhibit: January 12-February 28, 2010 at the Sahara West Library
Awards reception: Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 1-3 p.m. at the Sahara West Library

$150 - Best of Show
$100 - 1st Place
$ 75 - 2nd Place
$ 50 - 3rd Place
Ribbon Awards:
Four Honorable Mentions
