Career Ready 101, WorkKeys and NCRC
Adults participating in CALL programs are provided access to ACT’s Career Ready 101 curriculum, which includes KeyTrain modules to prepare and improve skills measured by the WorkKeys assessments. The WorkKeys assessments in Applied Math, Workplace Documents and Graphic Literacy result in a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). The NCRC is a nationally recognized, portable certification, indicating the certificate holders’ readiness to work. The CALL program also administers the WorkKeys assessments. Adults interested in taking the WorkKeys assessments and earning a NCRC should contact the CALL office at 702-507-3446 for more information.
CALL utilizes the new Nevada Career Explorer database with adult learners to assist them in identifying in-demand occupations, trainings, and certifications in Southern Nevada. Nevada Career Explorer also has features such as interest and skill assessments. This tool has been developed to accelerate the shift of workforce skills in Southern Nevada toward the emerging jobs of the future, as well as the jobs of today. This is a powerful new tool for job-seekers.
