Debbie Lambin: Loving Books through Art

Award-winning artist Debbie Lambin of Carson City, repurposes timeless classic novels, national bestsellers, and popular titles from local authors into vivid sculptures, folding and molding the pages into characters and scenes that tell the story from the inside out.

Debbie Lambin is a working artist with over 40 years working in many art mediums from watercolor, printmaking, and sculpture. Currently, working with paper such as books and magazines, she has become a paper sculptor, turning the discarded literature into treasures. Debbie works with her daughter Rachael creating these unique sculptures calling their “one of a kind” works of art, MyThousandWords book sculptures.

Lambin’s background is in marketing/communications and graphic arts. Working with the Nevada Art Council BRX (Basin Range Exchange) has allowed her to begin her journey teaching art throughout the state of Nevada, as well as displaying in exhibits.
