Book Stores and Donations

Donate & buy books to support the library.

Need to find a good home for your used books and media?  Visit any library branch to donate books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs and magazines. Your items will be sold in our bookstores and the proceeds go right back to the library to fund our priority programs.

The Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation. Bookstore volunteers or Library District Customer Service staff can give you a receipt for your donation when you drop off your items.

Foundation Bookstores, located in all 13 of our urban library branches, are open 7 days a week thanks to our dedicated staff and volunteers. The items in our bookstores are as diverse as the libraries themselves. Come and browse for your favorite books, movies, music, and magazines.

Can’t make it to the library?

The Foundation hosts three special book sales each year – the summer and holiday sales at Sahara West Library and the Teacher Book Sale at East Las Vegas Library. You are sure to find some hidden treasures and bargains galore, with some items discounted as low as 50 cents. In addition, the Foundation sponsors several other book sales during the year. Check our events page for details.
