KXNT 840 AM: Bring In Food And Library District Will Reduce Your Fine

Non-Perishable Food Donations Reduce Fines By $2

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District will forgive overdue library item fines until April 30 through its Food For Thought food drive. Through the month of April, library users can bring in overdue LVCCLD materials to any of the Library District's 25 convenient branches.

"We've actually collected more than 109,000 pounds of food, which gets turned around, taken to Three Square Food Bank, and then re-packaged for the community," said Matt McNally, Community Engagement Director with the Clark County Library District. "Those 109,000 pounds of food actually equates to more than 91,000 meals for hungry people in our community," McNally added.
